Volterra

The city of Volterra and its splendid territory is, probably, in Tuscany, one of the most varied and rich of attractions. The undisputed historical tradition joins the beautiful nature and offers an imposing patrimony.

Volterra is famous for its alabaster extraction and its processing, which can be defined as an artistic handicraft unique in the world, and through the historic center of Etruscan origin. The Etruscan heritage has left its mark with artistic and monuments of great importance, which can be admired simply walking through the city streets, where there are monuments of Etruscan, Roman and medieval, but also visiting the many museums (from do not miss the Etruscan museum and museum of alabaster).

Of particular interest is the landscape itself, unspoiled and charming; a succession of rolling hills, abruptly interrupted by wild performance and impressive of the Crags.
